Back from our Vaca!

Our wonderful vacation has finally come to an end and we are back in the swing of life here in Utah once more. Not a moment to catch our breathe we are both right back into action at work. The trip was very fun and exciting for us. We arrived on July 3rd and then on July 4th had a fun cookout at Shawn's parents house. We got to see all of the family that day, ate burgers and hot dogs. The real highlight of the BBQ was the 50ft slip n slide we had set up down the front yard hill. It turned out to be an absolutly blast (with a little help from baby oil). Pictures and Video to come of this event. Later that night we went out on the river to watch the fireworks but had to wait 2 hours for Billy Ray Cyrus to stop singing before fireworks filled the sky. It was a struggle to sit through his singing.

On tuesday and wednesday we made the trip up to Sandusky, OH to go to Cedar Point! Something we have all been looking forward to for quite awhile and the rides did not let us down. We all had a great time, got some sweet tan lines, and rode some awesome roller coasters. To end the trip we went to the Pittsburgh Zoo on Friday and had fun there. The underwater part of the park was pretty cool and unique. Something we all enjoyed.

Overall travel was easy and not too burdensome. It will be a lot easier when we are back on the good side of the country though. For now we have this weekend to look forward to. We are going to watch the Fray in concert and then Sunday is our 1 year anniversary. Hard to beleive it is here so quick. We love you all and miss everyone!

WV!

Soooo we are pretty pumped to head to WV in 4 days!!! Can't wait!!!
We are lucky enough to have 10 days offf.. and we can't wait!!!

But for your pleasure..
I found this and though it was funny.
Those from fairmont think its the funniest.

You know your from fairmont
when:

-You've thought about suicide by jumping off the third street bridge.

- When you consider "town".. past the village pantry.

- When you count down the days until Dairy Cream Corner opens.

- When going to the Tygart Valley Cinema is considered a date.

- When you consider Valley Falls a National Park.

- When the only famous person to come out of fairmont was Mary Lou Retton whom doesn't even consider it her home town.

- If you remember Hills.

- If you go to the Middletown Mall you return with a taco, a pet lizard, and a shirt from GoodWill.

- When you've been to every bar.. (there's only two.)

- When the biggest event of the year is the east/west football game and you only go to see the band.

- When you make the long loop from west to east to south fairmont counting padiddles and stealing road cones.

- When you want to be a valid member of the Burger King car club.

- When its 2 a.m. mom's place karaoke sounds enticing.

- When whether you break down, your farm animals are sick, you need to rewire your house or your nose is stuffed up, you go to Chick's and find everything you need.

- When at least one part of your vehicle is dangling or fallen off due to jumping the infamous West Side Hump by the bus lot.

- When you know the name of every single person in your school... and half of them are your cousins.

-When you think of Wave Tech as more of a small scale Disney World.

- When there is a church and a high life lounge by every stop sign.

- You order a dozen Yan dogs knowing darn well you'll put ketchup on em when you get home.

- When you drive past Mannington and you actually thank Goodness that you are from Fairmont.

- When Muriales is considered a 5 Star Restraunt.

- You're gourmet grocery stores are five Shop N' Saves.

- You would literally pee your self just to not go to the bathrooms at the downtown movie theater.

- When you go to town on the first of the month and its like New York City. Everyone is out cashing their welfare checks.

- When the only place you can get a job is at Aegis & Walmart

- When you walk out of warehouse grocery with a 35 cent faygo and a birthday card.

- When you go to a party and you see a 15 year old pregnant girl smoking a cigarette.

- When you consider Gabes a department store.

- When you drive down "Speed Way" and you know the speed limit is 25 mph.

- When you need to go to the hospital but you would rather bleed to death than be caught dead in Fairmont General.

-When the Mountaineer Mart, Ghetto Mart and Crack Mart are all the same thing.

Rain in Utah

Lately the weather has been confusing us a little bit. We have had showers and thunderstorms everyday for over 2 weeks time now. Sara doesn't like it too much but Shawn is in heaven. Regardless it is not what we are used to in Utah. Usually it is either snow or sun. Aside from that things have been going fairly well out here. We are getting very excited to come back again in a few weeks. It will definatly be a treat as always for us. We will both be going to school in the fall so its our last chance to relax together. Sara will be going to the LDS BC and Shawn will still be at the U.

Our new apartment is amazing! So much more space to move around in and also our new ward seems to be pretty awesome. We both like it a lot so thats always a plus. We had Joseph, Katie, Nathan, Ashley, Baby Claire and Shelly over for a fun get together a week ago. As always it was good to spend time with everyone. Thats about everything thats going on right now! Hope everyone is doing well!

REAL Salt Lake Soccer game!

We had the great opportunity to go to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game at the new Rio Tinto Stadium. Here are some pics. We got to see some cool things like a group of parachuters from the Air Force bring in the game ball and the america flag, and we also saw a fueler plane fly VERY close to the stadium ( scared the crap out of the fans). And to top it all off we saw every utah young teenagers heart throb. DAVID ARCHULETTA. He sang the national anthem and then did a concert after the game. We aren't hardcore enough to stay for the concert, but we did record a small clip for your viewing pleasure. Parachuters: Landing Number one
Coming in

Another landing

Here comes the flag

The game ball landing

Here is another parachuter right before landing
